Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. (RAMS, Inc.) is a non-profit mental health agency that offers a variety of services to meet the behavioral health social, vocational and educational needs of low income San Francisco residents. Philippine International Aid made a $5,000 grant to RAMS to enroll five students of Filipino heritage in the Peer Specialist Mental Health Certificate Course. Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. and San Francisco State University, Department of Counseling jointly developed and offered the Peer Specialist Mental Health Certificate Program. Recognized by the Mental Health Services Act. The primary goal of the Certificate program is to prepare consumers of community behavioral health services or family members with the basic skills and knowledge for entry-level peer specialist/counseling roles in the community behavioral health system or to further their career in the field.
Philippine International Aid (PIA) is a California-based nonprofit, non-stock corporation recognized by the IRS as exempt from income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
