covid match fund
Thank you for recently donating to our Matching Fund to provide food and hygiene packages to impoverished children and their families in the Philippines. We successfully raised the $50,000 match in three weeks and we disbursed the $100,000 immediately. The packages contained a variety of items such as rice, canned goods, powdered milk, noodles, vegetables, dried fish, coffee, biscuits, eggs, seedlings, soap, toothpaste, detergent, vitamins, alcohol, face shields and masks. The grants distributed ranged from $3,000 - $5,000, depending on the number of families served, goods provided, location and frequency.

The food scarcity situation in the Philippines has not improved. More community pantries are sprouting all over the country and bigger organizations are joining forces to create large fundraisers to bring attention to the hunger plight or the poor. Only a small percentage of the population has been vaccinated and with more lockdowns imposed due to the Delta variant, the situation has become more precarious and difficult for those without any means of livelihood to feed their families.
Thank you again for your generosity. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have made a big impact on the lives of these children and their families during this difficult time.
Sincerely yours,
The Philippine International Aid Board of Directors
