Bukluran ni Emmanuel is a group of 13 urban poor women residing in Bagong Silangan, Quezon City. The place is under the auspices of the Good Shepherd Sisters who own the property.

At the start of the pandemic, their livelihoods and that of their husbands have been affected.  Their whole community had very little help from their Local Government Unit.  In October 2020, the Friends of Bukluran ni Emmanuel, an informal group of friends and family members, asked for donations from friends to give to 100 of the poorest families in the area.  Because of group's funding, we were able to give rice to 150 families for 6 months -- from November 2020 to April 30, 2021.

In 2021, PIA donated $5,000 in COVID assistance to provide for food aid and hygiene packages.
