Mission and History

Philippine International Aid was established in 1986 to provide assistance to disadvantaged Filipino youth in the Philippines and the United States. PIA is a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

PIA is one of the oldest tax-exempt organizations in the U.S. focused on the Filipino community.

PIA’s core programs provide educational assistance to more children in the Philippines than any other U.S.-based charity. Annually, we provide aid to more than 2,500 students.

An all-volunteer organization, a hallmark of PIA’s governance is transparency and accountability to the community and especially to its donors.
