COVID-19 GRANTS

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Philippine International Aid assisted underprivileged children and their families, seniors and essential workers though different projects and grants.

Here is a list of the grants disbursed from May to August 2020.

COVID-19 Grants - PHILIPPINES

Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center                                                                                    $ 500
      PPEs for the center’s doctors, nurses, midwives, attendants, janitors
Caritas Manila                                                                                                                         $ 8,128
      Provide food assistance to 15,000 urban poor families in Metro Manila
      (through Give2Asia)

US-Philippines Society Adopt-A-Hospital                                                                       $ 1,000
       PIA adopted a medical facility to treat coronavirus in the Philippines    
COVID-19 Food and Hygiene Packages to PIA Scholars and their families               $ 62,193
      (1,275 food bags)

      Child Alert Mindanao - 5 barangays of Davao City to provide food,
         hygiene and school supplies for 21 students                                        

      ECPAT Philippines, Quezon CIty - for desktop computer and hygiene
          supplies for 36 elementary and secondary children housed in the center              

      Tanglaw Buhay Center, Zamboanga - for food and hygiene packages for
         32 children in the center and their families                                          

      Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish - rice distribution to 195 pre-schoolers
          in the Alabang/Muntinlupa area                                                           
      Alay Kapwa, General Trias and Paliparan, Cavite - to provide food 
          to the poorest 120 children and their families                                    
      Open Heart Foundation, Quezon City, Manila - for electronic tablets
          for 25 high school and college students for online learning             
      West City Central School, Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao -  to provide
          “Compassion Packs” (food, hygiene and school supplies)
           to 83 special needs children                                                                
      Kanlungan Sa Er-Ma Ministry, Pasay City, Manila - for a feeding
           program for 4 communities for 5 months for 60 children              
      ACAY Mission Philippines, Quezon City, Manila - for 3 desktop
           computers for 15 students aged 16-20 years old for their
           online educational needs                                                                      
      Medical Mission Sisters, Bukidnon, Mindanao - for food packs
           for 70 families of the Monobo Pulangiyan and Lumad tribes         
      Bukid Kabataan Center, Cavite - for food/snacks and school
           supplies for 36 children residing in the center

       Community feed on Mother’s Day in Daly City, CA
Kultivate Labs Community Feed                                                                                          $ 1,000
       Provide meals to healthcare workers and help Filipino restaurants
West Bay Filipino Multi Service Center Seniors Community Feed                                $ 1,000
       Provide groceries for elderly Filipinos living in South of Market, San Francisco
Bessie Carmichael School and Galing Bata                                                                       $ 5,000
       Meals and grocery items for 80 children and their families 
       
in the South of Market, San Francisco catered by Filipino restaurants
       for a month

       Facilitated the transfer of grants to the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of
       Kalookan to provide aid to healthcare workers and volunteers to monitor
       quarantined COVID-positive patients and to upgrade internet connectivity
       to better monitor patients and do contact tracing
