Open Heart Foundation Worldwide
Open Heart Foundation Worldwide supports 17 students who completed courses in education, electronics, computer engineering, criminology, criminal justice, social work and human resource management.
Open Heart is founded by Robert LeGore, an American lawyer who served as public defender for young offenders. He believed that if the youth were given opportunities to develop their potential, they can become responsible, creative and productive members of the society. The foundation helps underprivileged youth achieve their goals through education. The beneficiaries are usually the breadwinners of their families or someone who the family can depend on when they graduate. In 2021, PIA granted $4,000 for food and hygiene packages to help the families get through the pandemic lockdowns. |
