People’s Recovery, Empowerment and Development (PREDA) Foundation to support 50 scholars. All passed their grade level this school year. The program provides adequate, holistic recovery/rehabilitation. It offers “skills for life” training for kids to cope with life’s challenges better. It also has psychological services and counseling available to the beneficiaries.

Based in Olongapo City, PREDA was founded in 1974 by Irish missionary priest Fr. Shay Cullen, who has worked to protect women and children . It has provided home and protection for sexually abused and commercially exploited children. The PREDA services reaches all areas of Luzon and provides residential care and therapeutic intervention in a healthy environment with experienced and trained staff. Legal services are also given to the children. Last February, PREDA rescued 13 young girls from the sex bars in Olongapo City and four boys and girls from illegal detention in jail.

In 2021, PIA provided $5,000 in COVID assistance. Food packs and survival kits were given to beneficiaries' families in this time of crisis.
