Where We Started
Philippine International Aid was established in 1986 to provide assistance to disadvantaged Filipino youth in the Philippines and the United States. PIA is a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. PIA is one of the oldest tax-exempt organizations in the U.S. focused on the Filipino community.

What We've Done Together
​​In its 38-year history, PIA’s core programs have provided educational assistance to more children in the Philippines than any other U.S.-based charity. Annually, we provide aid to more than 1,000 students.

Compliance

Philippine International Aid makes grants to foreign organizations maintaining records that show PIA controls the distribution of the funds in accordance with IRS requirements and ensuring compliance with the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control.
