PIA 2026 SCHOLARSHIP
PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL AID (PIA) SCHOLARSHIP FUND OFFERS UP TO $2,000 TO FILIPINO-AMERICAN STUDENTS ATTENDING CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES
San Francisco, CA - Philippine International Aid (PIA) is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for the PIA U.S. Scholarship Fund. This scholarship opportunity is available to California community college students who have been accepted to a four-year college or university for the 2026-2027 academic year. The deadline for completed applications is Monday, June 1, 2026. The scholarship fund will award up to $2,000 each to successful applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship is available to Filipino immigrant students or children of Filipino immigrants who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to those with volunteer service in the Filipino American community and the potential to make a difference.
Selection criteria will be based on financial need, academic excellence, well-articulated academic and career goals, personal strengths, including maturity, potential to succeed, and ability to overcome hardship. The scholarship is not renewable.
Applicants are responsible for submitting all materials to Philippine International Aid by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. Completed application forms, three written essays (minimum 250 words each), and the most recent transcripts (including grading scales) must be emailed to [email protected] by June 1, 2026.
Finalists will be interviewed for final award consideration. Interviews will be conducted remotely via Zoom at a mutually agreed upon time and date. Winners are required to attend the PIA annual fundraising event held in San Francisco in the fall of 2026 to receive the scholarship check.
