The musical extravaganza was a shining example of dedication and hope, driven by the combined efforts of individuals and groups committed to making a significant impact. Key contributions from Cora M. Tellez, the UBS Alpha Plus Group, and a remarkable ensemble of performers ensured that the evening was as meaningful as it was entertaining. The concert highlighted the struggles faced by underprivileged youth, encouraging attendees to rally together and extend support. It was an event not only of celebration but also of compassion, paving the way for a brighter future.

The lineup featured an array of exceptional talent. Esteemed singer and actress Becca Godinez graced the stage with her legendary presence, alongside Aliw Award winner Tim Pavino. Jennifer Paz, known for her work in the original National Broadway Tour of "Ms. Saigon," brought her expertise and charisma. Joining them were multi-ethnic singer-songwriter and actress Natasha Kaiserman, the dynamic American singer-songwriter and actor Michael Washington, and the multifaceted performer Anthony Fedorov, who also serves as a producer and music educator. The performances were woven together by the musical prowess of LA-based pianist, composer, and band leader Michael Seaman, creating a night to remember.

The event was orchestrated by Philippine International Aid (PIA), an organization with a long-standing history of dedication to assisting disadvantaged Filipino youth both domestically and abroad. Founded in 1986 by Mona Lisa Yuchengco, PIA stands as one of the oldest tax-exempt organizations in the U.S., focusing on the Filipino community. It operates under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code, reflecting its commitment to transparency and effective philanthropy.

PIA's legacy is marked by impactful programs that annually provide essential educational assistance to over 1,000 students in the Philippines. Guided by the leadership of President James T. Lim, Executive Director Carlo Y. Abaya, and supported by a dedicated Board of Members including Leopoldo "Paul" R. Briones, Lieza Danan, Teddy Diaz De Rivera, Dr. Edmund B. Duldulao, Katrina Montinola, Emily Cruz Nishi, Ben R. Olivas, and Elaine R. Serina, Ph.D., P.E., PIA continues to expand its reach and enhance its programs year after year.

As the gala drew to a close, the atmosphere was infused with both hope and gratitude. The founder, Mona Lisa Yuchengco, and President James Tecson Lim shared heartfelt remarks, acknowledging the tremendous support and participation that turned the vision of the event into reality. Their words, coupled with the evening's performances, resonated deeply with the audience, creating an unshakeable belief in the power of community to generate positive change.

"2024 Giving Hope to The Children" at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco was not just an event-it was a movement. A movement characterized by melody, compassion, and a shared commitment to lighting a path for the youth. It demonstrated that through collective action, we can indeed weave a brighter tapestry of opportunities and dreams, transforming hope into tangible change.
